Based in Brooklyn, NY, we provide queer-affirming, culturally attuned therapy for South and East Asian clients and other communities in NYC.
Who are we?
We are here to join you in your healing journey, acting as partners along the way by providing care and guidance and by learning your unique pathway to growth together. We bring our full selves to our relationships with our clients, as we see our shared experiences of humanity as a valuable part of the therapeutic relationship. We ourselves belong to the communities we serve, and this gives us the ability to understand at a deeper level.
Why go to therapy?
You deserve to feel good, not just okay, but genuinely at ease. Therapy can provide a unique opportunity to heal wounds of the past, and move beyond survival to contentment and happiness.
You may have grown used to holding your feelings inside, even when it feels heavy. You may be committed to understanding yourself but feel frustrated by recurring patterns that seem stuck. You may also have tried therapy in the past and gained valuable self-awareness, but are looking to deepen your healing journey.
Most often, the ways we relate to and manage our emotions are learned gradually over the course of our lives, often outside our conscious awareness.
Therapy with use helps you uncover underlying emotional and relational patterns and develop new, intentional ways of being. This can be especially transformative for those looking to heal from past trauma or break generational patterns.
We believe that connection is at the center of healing: connection to ourselves, our loved ones, and our broader community. We specialize in emotions-focused, trauma-informed and somatically-attuned therapy: we primarily use Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP).
Through this work, you can expect to make better sense of your struggles and bring this a layer deeper into truly feeling better.
